sorry to dig up old problems... but i am trying to install the simple news plug in, and its just not working for me. and i have no idea what i am doing wrong. i went though the other posts and still couldn't figure out the problem.

i downloaded the plug in, put it in the plug ins folder...

made a exhibit, wrote the news i want in there... hid it... and tried putting the code in there... w/ the "number" part replaced w/ 1 (for the front page).

didn't do anything.

then... since i thought i didn't understand... (which i obviously don't still since i cant get this to work.) i put that code in the front page and changed the number from 1 to 35 (35 is the page that has the news i am trying to call...) still... nothing.

so i have 2 questions...

1. what am i doing wrong?

2. should i just wait till the update? i can wait a month... if its still a while off maybe i should get this to work.

help me vaska... your my only hope.

ps... i put everything back to normal for now... on the front page for now.

1. Did you hire a shaman yet? ;)
2. It's ok...go for it.

It sounds to me like you have an id number for your exhibit INSTEAD of the id number for your section. Does that make sense? Give it a shot...keep us posted.

side question... in the settings... what does "Projects Section" do? (on vs off)
