hi, ive set up the database on cpanel, and know that all of the other details are correct so it but be the database server that is wrong!

i have written to my host already, but i have an exhibition next week which i need to build my website in time for. as it's a bank holiday weekend im unlikely to hear back from them until tuesday at least, so i was just wondering if anyone who uses cpanel knows if there's an easier way of locating the name of your database server?

is there another name for 'database server'? i will try scouring my email inbox for alternate terms.

thanks in advance guys!

please help me if you can!

if there's no other way of finding out the name of your database server other than being told by your host, then please tell me!

thankyou!

turns out it wasn't a problem with the database server after all.

i'd created a user for the database, but hadn't given him privileges.
