1.
How do I remove Home: and : from browser tab?

I tried renaming it to & n b s p ; (without spaces) but that left the colon.

go to Admin->Assets->index.php and find line

  1. <title><last:ndxz_title /> : {{obj_name}}</title>

delete

  1. <last:ndxz_title /> :

or edit it to anything you like...

Thanks, resolved!

For some reason when I delete the part you suggested, my site appears completely blank in the browser and the tab label is just my URL. I am doing this through the 'assets' in the back-end of my site. I cannot seem to change anything in the local index.php file (say's it is locked). Sorry to tack on this question to a resolved thread. :)

Nevermind, I managed to fix it by editing the local file in dreamweaver. Works now. :)

If the file was 'locked' then you wouldn't be able to edit it - something isn't right there. Editing things via 'assets' is only recommended for folks who have a good understanding of what's going on there. I think you should make the edit using the old paradigm...ftp app to desktop...edit with text editor...reupload...or, use Coda if you have it.
