Hi

I have a small issue with Visual Index's permalink page (plugin.submedia.php). I would like the navigation to loop to the first image when the array ends. Any ideas on how to do this?

Also, if anyone has found a solution on how to display Visual Index's thumbnails keeping the same height instead of the same width, I would be grateful.

Thanks

Proper link - sorry but the forums insert link function is very awkward

Hi Vassilis:

"loop to the first image when the array ends" - I'm not following what this means exactly.

A replacement for Thickbox is nearly completed - this is what you are looking for with that kind of thumbnail orientation.

Thanks so much for your prompt reply!

Reg the "loop to the first image when the array ends":

In the Legacy slideshow exhibit, when you reached the last picture of the slideshow and clicked Next you where taken to the first image again. Visual Index's "slideshow" doesn't do that, it just gives an "inactive" class to the Next button. I was wondering if the Legacy slideshow's behaviour is possible with 2.0 Visual Exhibit...

Yeah, it doesn't do that. The new Slideshow is nearly completed, as well.

I'm just fussing with a kind of design element that is particularly complicated...

I went out for coffee and resolved the design issue with Slideshow just now. Have to produce all of it though.

Slideshow, for as simple as it looks, is complicated because of the fade between slides. I'm building that as an option people can turn on and off. That one thing though, affects layout issues immensely. It's the same problem that made the previous version of Slideshow my least favorite. I'm fixing once and for all this time...

Is there any way to connect the visual index with a slideshow with fade-effect?

Not it the current version not. I guess you can use css3 fade in/out effects but that requires coding skills as well.

Does anyone know if it is possible to move the position of the permalink navigation?

depending on your coding skills you can try editing the plugin.submedia.php file (Admin/Assets/Plugins)
