Upgraded to 2.0, now errors on website

I followed the instructions to upgrade to 2.0.
I believe I completed all the instructions on the page: indexhibit.org/tutorials/upgrade/upgrade-to-version-two/

Should my website be functional after that, or do I need to "update themes and exhibit formats, as explained on page:
indexhibit.org/tutorials/upgrade/updating-templates-and-exhibit-formats/

I am currently getting error messages like:
"Warning: getimagesize(/home/content/b/o/t/bothboths/html/files/gimgs/th-6_6_nightskyexpand.jpg) [function.getimagesize]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/b/o/t/bothboths/html/ndxzsite/plugin/format.visual_index.php on line 489"

I do not understand the instructions on the "updating themes" page.
For example, the first thing:
"Variables should be changed from:
-> Updating templates and exhibit formats"
In what file/place do I make this change?

Thank you for the help.

Perhaps I should just start over with a new install, as my current site was not that customized.
. . . Unless someone has an easy answer to the above.

Well try switching to a different format to begin with.
The Visual Index format that comes with version 2, is now multifunctional and covers lots of ways to display things...

Did you delete your files folder when you upgraded?

Otherwise, if your site was not so customized and you are up for starting over it's not a bad call.

I have now backed-up files, deleted from server, and installed CMS2.
Working. Thanks.
