Hello,

Here is a link to my site,

Is it possible to make my full-screen background image into an automatic slideshow, so different images fading in and out ?

Thanks

Jonathan

Of course it's possible. You need to build a format that does this though and coding skills are needed.

hmm ok oh dear, my skills unfortunately lack. Would you have any advice to get me in the right direction?

Search for javascipt plugins that do what you're after and then try to figure out how formats work. It's not easy but not difficult. It also may require time. You just need to get acquainted with code and things work.

indexhibit.org/forum/thread/16431/ to allow the Javascript to do all of the work, or would I use a mixture of the 2

I found the maximage .js and .css but I do not know where to put them.
Could someone give me a hint?

Thanks

The html part goes into the index.php of the theme that your using and the css can be either linked to the index.php or pasted in the style.css of your current theme.
There's lots of ways to do this.

Build a format that does that (of course coding skills are needed)
Alternatively insert the html in the text area in your main page by switching Off Proccess HTML (it's the P button above the text area)

Hi,
I was going to attempt to use Maximage on my site too, but not being a coder it's not straightforward.
I read on another post that Vaska is working on a background format which also works with video, this would be ideal.

Any news on when it will be ready Vaska? I know you're busy though.
many thanks :)
