Indexhibit Support

Hello, is there any way to place a text, like intro text or quote, from the exhibits next to the photo in visual index section overview?

you mean a caption?

Not a caption but more like the first 30 (or more) words of the text of the exhibition.. This was possible in previous version of indexhibit with the simple_news_plugin.

How are you using v2 if you haven't requested or purchased from our site?

I had a copy to test it from a friend and just sent you an mail with a question about payment by mail (support at ...)

You can get a test copy from our site. If everybody starts sharing the files it's a loss for us - somehow we're hoping to stay in business for awhile (we hope that people want us to be around in another year - we think it's a good project but perhaps we're wrong).

To answer the question though, you would have to customize the format to do that - the format is not built anything like simple news was in the past.

Can you give me a clue how to call the exhibition text in the visual_index?

Anyone got a clue or hint in how to adjust visual index (for section) so that the exhibition texts are shown with the first image?

i get some output, only no images (should show first image of item) and the links are not right.

If it is possible to call the title per exhibition it must be possible to call the information from the text field somehow i would think. Who knows?

Image media_title and media_caption? Yes, those are in the array carrying the image.

You would need to customize the format to get those in action though. I recommend you make a copy of exhibit.visual_index.php and put it in your theme folder - it will override the default and you can make all the changes you need. If you need to go back to the original you can simply delete it from the theme folder.
