change website title to an image

I realise there is another question here with respect to this but have tried a few options.
I have inserted a logo test0001 jpg file into the gimg folder as I believe you are supposed to but not sure then where to put the link to this jpg.

I'm not sure what you are trying to do - why are you doing this? The website title? Do you mean a favicon?

Hi Vaska

Thanks for coming back so promptly.

Essentially trying to do what was done in the attached thread but not sure where he was inserting the url path as I've tried to insert this in a couple of the places that I though were right in the Them section but to no avail.

Basically trying to change the website title text to a .jpg but doesn't seem to be working for me.

What is a website title? There is nothing that exists that is called a website title. Can you please explain to me what this is...

ok.
Here's an alternative way of doing it
Edit your main page
upload your image to be placed instead of your website text title
Click the Tools icon underneath the image
Click the Inactive radio button and the Update button (this way your image does not show up in your exhibit - it exists in it though...)
Click Insert image and the Close link
Now in your text box you should have

  1. <media:gimg 'IMAGE_FILENAME.jpg' />

Cut and paste this in your pre-nav area
:-)

The website title is in the Settings section of the Admin area within the Theme Section. The person at indexhibit.org/forum/thread/17340/ was essentially doing the same thing.

Thanks Arsondpi, will try the alternative method.

Thanks Arsondpi. Just tried that and it works.

This thread has been closed, thank you.
