Indexhibit Support

I need to create a contact form, but the contact form plugin by Vaska that I downloaded doesn't seem to work. Any ideas?

Did I really create one? Where is it?

I created a custom contact form using various elements found on the net.

1) Using FTP, create a new folder called "contactform" at the root of your website

2) Download this zip file and edit the 3 files it contains:

contact.php:
Line 7, put your e-mail address

contact_page.html:
Line 6 to 9, replace "yoursite" and "yourtheme" with the correct information

mailsent.html:
Line 6 to 9, replace "yoursite" and "yourtheme" with the correct information

3) upload these 3 files to your "contactform" folder

4) In Indexhibit, create a new Index Link.
Title: "Contact me"
Link: "/contactform/contact_page.html"

That's all!

Hmmm, I'm not sure what to say to this. Normally I'm not going to allow code like this in the forum unless I've checked it. Email contact forms, if not built well, will get spam and possibly lead to hacking of your site.

This is why I no longer use a contact form - I simply use a human readable email address and people can email me. Like:

contact at indexhibit dot org

Since you no longer recommend, I will not try to get it working.
