Active exhibition titles / active links and Visual index

I am using the Visual index with Columner theme and my site is skatar.com

My goal is to have a Visual index-section in each exhibition title.
That is, another layer of visual index, almost making it a section-section.

I solved it with iframes previously but it's just too unclean.

Better idea is to fake the link, by editing .htaccess or a href in exhibition title.

Long intro, short question:

Is it possible to make these "fake exhibit titles" look as if they are active?

I want the visitor to know where she or he is on the website.
All links have a #CCC background when you are at that particular page.

Skaatar,

Were you able to solve this using CSS?

I took your advice and arranged my code in hierarchy of your LoV-HAte, but it didn't yield any change. I'm still trying to figure out how to make index links hold color when active.

Btw, nice work. Your water projects a cool. Linescapes and Vibration Mirror.

Thanks danp!
Nice to hear you appreciate my work.

Regarding the active links I ask about here; unfortunately, I haven't found a solution and I think it's impossible given how the system is structured.

If Love-HAte doesn't work, maybe rearranging the hierarchy might be worth looking at again. That is, what link descriptions comes first / are on top really?

"another level" might work using some kind of hide/show scripts.
Also, it can be solved using ajax, but that's far too complex for me.

Well you can use quick-and-dirty workarounds like the one posted here: indexhibit.org/forum/thread/20185/
You just need to know which css selector to affect ;-)
