last week i was testing the new version in a separate folder before I went live with the upgrade.

I'm having the same problem as last week.
I install it and everything goes fine. After the second screen it asks me for login credentials and won't accept them.
I reset with reset2.php and try to login with default credentials, but it doesn't work.
over and over again.

is something wrong with my server?
this is a big problem as now my website is down and this can't happen.

I'm finally in!
I think there were some steps missing from the upgrade notes.

So I have major problems with the database append.
It has associated things incorrectly.
it took everything from my tables beginning with ndxz_ and created new ones ndxzbt1_

I only have half of the pages that i created and all of the sections have been renamed to "tags".
It appears the sections fields got dropped.
collation was changed to latin1_swedish_ci
is the collation correct?

I try to insert new section fields and that doesn't seem to help.

I'm in hell!

So I restored the database and re-installed and all tables transferred sort of, but here's what you need to know...

if you were using multiple formats in version 1, make sure they're updated or it will totally mangle things.
on top of that, if you've made a new theme, don't switch to it yet until after you've updated each page and its respective format template. this will drop tables and your pages will disappear.

Vaska says that if you visit each page it will update things.
It's not doing this for me. All of my captions have lost their line breaks.
I have to go into every single image and click "update" to get the line breaks to reappear.
I have hundreds of images.
Vaska, Is there another way to deal with this?
