install.php not working

ginnybarrett / 2013-10-21 05:13:52

I've worked through the install steps, right up the the point where i go to the web browser and enter: ginnybarrett.com/ndxzstudio/…

I hit enter and it jumps me to ww1.ginnybarrett.com No chance to choose a language to install - just the domainit.com landing page.

Can't make sense of it - where did i go wrong?

thanks much.

Have you uploaded the Indexhibit files/folders to the correct directory?
Is your domain name pointing to your server (aka could it be a DNS issue)?

How do I determine that they are in the correct directory?

Full disclosure: complete novice here.

I followed the video tutorial and used Cyberduck . . . seemed straight forward, but obviously i did something wrong.

thanks for the direction.

cyberduck is your problem - and we don't recommend that on our site.

use filezilla or better yet Coda. things will make sense...

I actually tried filezilla first and had the same problem. Thought cyberduck may be the answer . . .but now have the same issue as well.

I could try Coda tonight . . . or is there a bigger issue that i'm not seeing?

much thanks.

Knowing how FTP works is the issue as I see it - there is info around the forum about that but the greater web would be more useful (since we are not an FTP application).

The YouTube video on installing indexhibit recommends Cyberduck, fyi.

i believe that one is very old. the newer one, listed on our site, uses filezilla.

cyberduck is so confusing - i can't even use it myself.

Coda is the best thing to use...
