filesource class not found

Erick / 2014-04-11 09:48:29

I installed indexhibit without problems.

If I try to create a new exhibit under wathever section I get the following error message: "filesource class not found".

What can I do?

Are you on a local installation?

Erick / 2014-04-11 13:21:54

No, instalation is on a web server:

guillemvidal.com/Indexhibit/

If you want to make any testing: user:test, password: test

Thanks for your help.

Erick

This could be a few things...let's start at the beginning...

Reupload /ndxzstudio/lib/ folder and files.

Erick / 2014-04-11 16:36:35

I did delete and reupload Reupload /ndxzstudio/lib/ folder and files.

No result, same error...

Change "Indexhibit" (the folder name) to "indexhibit". This isn't the problem but you will need to do so eventually.

Is this a new installation or an upgrade?

Erick / 2014-04-11 16:52:35

Done.

Its a new instalation, I downloaded Indexhibit 2 days ago.

Ok, the problem is with the database (most likely). Are you handy with PHPMyAdmin?

The problem has to do with collations not matching up - when they don't we sometimes get this kind of behavior.

Can you look at your database and tell me what you see?

Who is your host?

Erick / 2014-04-11 17:00:30

I have not administration access to the database.

Please tel me what to check and do and I will transmit to the host administrator.

Web hosting is done by the-lemon.net a small hosting company from Spain.

Vaska A / 2014-04-11 17:08:52

Ah, that's not good and kind of explains things.

I believe that it's not working because your collations are not all the same. They should be but some older hosting setups (the MySQL part) don't allow us to adjust things and that's where this problem happens.

All your collations throughout your database should be utf8_general_ci and they can make this change.

I will bet 5 bucks that your database has latin1 collations somewhere.

I transmit to host administrator

Erick, I'm checking out for a friday evening and I don't know if anybody will really be able to help with this. I'll be back tomorrow...this can be resolved (assuming the host has an understanding of what they are doing).

Changes have been done in the database configuration, a new database has been created, indexhibit reinstalled from step 2.

Problem still the same?????

What changes? Strict mode?

Vaska A / 2014-04-14 16:16:38

The problem for me is that I can't even help directly because there is no direct database access. This makes me wonder what kind of setup they have - it's not normal.

Erick / 2014-04-14 16:30:31

They created a new database with "utf8_general_ci" codification.

Vaska A / 2014-04-14 17:28:49

I don't know anything about their setup...this might be of use...

stanlemon.net/2013/03/23/mysql-strict-mode-on-os-x/

Erick / 2014-04-14 18:50:27

strict mode should be enabled or disabled?

Vaska A / 2014-04-14 19:26:32

disabled

Erick / 2014-04-16 13:20:42

The database admin don't want to change this parameter, as this can after others dbs.

Any other ideas of settings or tests we can do?

If I get the db and I send it to you this can help?

Vaska A / 2014-04-16 13:32:29

Databases don't work that way. I would love to look at things myself to understand what's going on.

If they won't change that parameter then that is where the problem lies - most likely.

This is very difficult though and not normal for a host to not allow you access to the database...I don't know what to say...

Can you email me about this: support at indexhibit dot org (who is the webhost?).
