Slideshow : Unexpected T_STRING

DamArch / 2014-04-24 09:51:04

Hi everybody,
I have a little problem with my PHP code in format.slideshow.php section.
I have the error message :

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /homez.763/lemairel/www/ndxzsite/plugin/format.slideshow.php on line 233

when i use slideshow format for my exhibits.

Here it is the code line 233:

$thumbnails .= "

I can't put the code on the forum. Doesn't work with Insert > Code neither.

That error message typically indicates that you don't have PHP5 enabled.

Did you insert something into the title or caption space? Can you view that image via the studio and call up that image in the asset manager?

Hi Vaska, thanks for answer,

The exhibit format "slideshow" works until yesterday.
I can managed it without problem in the studio (text and images were ok).

But since yesterday, I still can manage the exhibit but the preview doesn't work in the studio (error message appears) and the exhibit on the site doesn't work too (also error message) .

Something was changed - it's indicating a problem with the code that makes it unable to parse.

What is the site?

DamArch / 2014-04-28 08:47:22

Hi Vaska,
this is the site:

lemaire-leveque.fr

The problem is with the exhibits called: SANS TAMBOURS NI TROMPETTES
Under Architecture section

Reupload the format file - unedited.

Did you try editing it per chance with the asset manager (in the cms)?

DamArch / 2014-05-02 09:43:21

Hi Vaska,
sorry for the late I'm full of work these days.
I don't find the format file unedited. Can you tell me where I can find a new one? (maybe redownload Indexhibit.zip?)
It seems that it has disappeared, so I can reupload it in Cyberduck.

Thanks for your help, we will find a solution I'm sure!

DamArch / 2014-05-02 09:47:19

And yes I'd tried editing it in the asset manager, cause I thought that it was a quotes problem in the code at the line 233. But without results...

Reupload an unedited copy of that file.

Hi Vaska,

I just downloaded Slideshow.
It is not working.
I have this first sentence on the top of the formats section:
"Notice: Undefined variable: html in /flex/domain/laurentchardon.net/site/www/ndxzsite/plugin/format.slideshow.php on line 327"
And another one on my website page:
"n /flex/domain/laurentchardon.net/site/www/ndxzsite/plugin/format.slideshow.php on line 233"
laurentchardon.net/index.php/portfolio/tangente/

Hi! Was your problem something similar like this? I started trying the different plugins and assets ignoring how to use them and now I can not see my website anymore I only get this error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 'player' (T_STRING) in /home4/coquito/public_html/ndxzsite/plugin/plugin.formats.php on line 114

Hi Vaska,
Sorry I've let down this issue for a moment.
Okay now I will try to fix it!

You said "reupload unedited copy of that file" but I not sure of what file are toalking about. Is this the slideshow.css file in my FTP?

DamArch / 2014-07-15 12:54:45

Ok I reupload the slideshow format file "slideshow.css" in the ndxzsite>css section in my Cyberduck FTP.
It seems that nothing change about the error message.

DamArch / 2014-07-15 13:00:42

And I did the same for the "plugin.jxs_slideshow.php" file.
Nothing change.

DamArch / 2014-07-23 13:07:11

Hi Vaska, I want to replace the ndxzsite/plugin/format.slideshow.php file in Cyberduck to repair the code (like I saw here : indexhibit.org/forum/thread/21124/) , but I cannot even if I redowload an Indexhibit.zip file to find a original file it doesn't appear.

Quite strange...

Where can I find an "format.slideshow.php" file ro replace the bad one??

This thread has been closed, thank you.
