Hi,

Vaska responded to someone having a problem with their site loading slowly on dreamhost.

He fixed this person’s problem and said he would post the fix to the forum, but I don’t see it.
He realized that thumbnails were rendering each time.
I have the same problem and need this fix as well

Hi Vaska,
Do you still have the format.slideshow.php file that you edited for barada53?
I'm having the same problem with this format. I have two pages affected and when I run an audit, it seems the images are not caching.
Here are the two pages.

Ok. Does anyone know what might be wrong?
I'm using slideshow 1.2
All of my images are a max of 800 pixels

It takes 9 seconds for the page to load.

I read the forum guidelines. I almost never get responses in this forum. If it's because you can't see my link-back, it is right here.

Ok. So I finally found the thread with the slideshow beta file, but it doesn't seem to help me.
This image preload situation is a real issue!
It sometimes takes two minutes for the page to load.
