Link to pdf doesn't work

NikNak / 2014-09-21 14:58:49

Hello,

I have uploaded a pdf to my website using the file icon, I've inserted the code, and inserted text ('CV') within that code, but the link does not work, even when I publish it. It just returns me to the homepage. Can you help?

Thanks!
N

nicolatremain.com/cv/

And this is the code:

CV

(Have also done it without the p and the strong and it doesn't work.
Hope you can help?

Oh...sorry I realise cutting and pasting the code doesn't work!

It does work, but you need to only cut and paste small things.

What is the name of the file before you upload?

NikNak / 2014-09-21 19:05:40

Nicola Tremain PD 2014.pdf - ah, are the gaps an issue?

NikNak / 2014-09-21 19:28:24

Also doesn't work with no gaps in the file name...

This is an old bug in v1. Make the name all lowercase with no spaces and I think it will work just fine.

Thanks for this - but nicolatremaincv.pdf also doesn't work...
I get these alerts each time I upload a file:

Can you upgrade your setup?

NikNak / 2014-09-22 21:47:37

Sure, I can try - I'll look for the instructions and let you know if that resolves it.

Someone else built the website for me - I know how to edit it, but having had a look, the instructions for upgrade are beyond me (do you have an upgrade instructions for dummies?!) Eg I wouldn't know how to backup my website to ftp - I'm sure I could google it all but it might take me about a month to figure it all out, whereas really I just need to get my CV up there. Any other ideas?
