thanks for your prompt response. but I don't really get it what you mean. could you explain it to me in one more sentence? thanks again.

influx / 2014-09-30 10:49:08

??

Vaska A / 2014-09-30 11:21:22

Do you see the index at the left? And, the link called "Plugins"? Click on that one... ;)

influx / 2014-10-01 19:46:00

Ahh, I have put the reset2.php in my /ndxzstudio/folder, brought it up in my browser (my site.com/ndxzstudio/reset2.php) - and then: nothing happened in Safari and in Firefox I got: 'Hopefully that worked! ;) ' and no login ??!! What am I gotta do now???

influx / 2014-10-03 14:48:03

I double checked - and still (yoursite.com/ndxzstudio/reset2.php)
laravlaska.com/ndxzstudio/reset2.php only gives me the
echo {Hopefully that worked! ;) } and not the login.
I am really stuck at the moment, could you please help me.

could anyone please help me?

Now I see that you have deleted your options.php file? You need that.

laravlaska.com/ndxzstudio/

influx / 2014-10-06 13:23:38

yeah, I double checked on this (and I haven't deleted anything).
the options.php is still in the folder (!):
ndxzsite/config/options.php
so what can I do now??

Vaska A / 2014-10-06 13:51:13

Did you change permissions on ALL files/folders at the same time?

influx / 2014-10-06 14:22:42

I have actually no idea what happened, really. I didn't delete consciously any file. and I have no idea where I could have changed permissions (especially on all files/folders at the same time) in which file could that have happened? I only used the css file to change some of the styles....

influx / 2014-10-06 14:50:44

mhm, the last thing I remember before I couldn't login anymore, was that I searched for the favicon root. In my opinion, I just had a look on the index.php, but I didn't change or touch anything. Could there be any connection?

Vaska A / 2014-10-06 17:49:25

When I try to visit it says that options.php is missing. If the file is there then it's a permissions issue. Check them...they should be 644.

influx / 2014-10-06 19:27:34

ok, I will check and get back to you. thanks.

influx / 2014-10-07 13:20:33

ok, I checked the permissions. the config.php is on 640 and the options. php is n 740. (both are inside the config folder). Should I change options. php from 740 to 644? - > which will allow 'others' to read and 'the owner' not to execute?? is this the right next step? and another question: should the reset2.php file inside the ndxzstudio be deleted or kept?

Vaska A / 2014-10-07 14:50:04

644 yes.

influx / 2014-10-07 15:03:58

really? I deleted the reset2.php and changed the options.php's permission to 664. and nothing happened. still the warning and no login :(

influx / 2014-10-09 13:38:02

?? still no login.

Vaska A / 2014-10-09 14:09:43

Can you reinstall - start from the beginning and follow the instructions exactly (especially setting permissions).

influx / 2014-10-16 15:00:46

I did reinstall and everything and now I can't log in. it always responds with a login error. but it is the same password - I really don't get it.

Did you use a new database? Because, if you are simply using the same database connection things you are just reconnecting to the previous site (and maybe messing it up even more).

If you change the database prepend when you install you will have a fresh set of tables in the database - that is a fresh install. Or, you can use another database.
