Dear Vaska

I am not using any weird characters

O
How did you update them? In the template directly?
I clicked admin > meta tags v1 > options>
and then keywords, description, author....
clicked update
Does everything else work on your site? This sounds like a mod_security problem.
What keywords are you adding - cut and paste them here.
something like
Olivia Louvel, Beauty Sleep, Doll Divider, Qwartz Award, Cat Werk Imprint
don't remember if I put commas or not, I think I ve tried both
Enable the plugin but don't add any keywords - check your site - do the other meta tags show up in the code?
Hi Vaska
I just filled out the description box only and clicked update, and it all disappeared
Ask your host if they have mod_security on your server and if they see anything related to this in their logs. If so, have them make the appropriate adjustments.
mod_security is a set of somewhat arbitrary rules that interfere with all kinds of things like cms's...it's not highly unusual.
Hi Vaska
contacted my web hosted, Amen, they told me to log into my account / linux/ "Gestion PHP.ini" and do which I believe is about the safe mode

Hi Vaska
contacted my web host, Amen who told me to log into my account / linux/ "Gestion PHP.ini" and do the modifications myself!
I don't have a clue.
I have pasted the code above which I believe is about the safe mode
hope this helps
thank you very much
O
That's pretty lame - what are you paying them for? It's certainly not support. I don't know anything about your host and I would be crazy to start meddling with their setup.
But, did they not say anything about mod_security?
I know it's crazy. No they didn't mention anything about mod_security
I am writing to them again.
Tell me more about the mod-security, is it something they would have to add or remove?
thank you
OL
It's something they could either disable or modify the 'rules'. It's very common that a webhost will do this for you...
Simply ask them if they are using mod_security and that it may be interfering with the functioning of your site. They can either check the logs and modify or disable it completely - it's their choice.
hi Vaska, ok so I finally received an answer from Amen:
They say it is not possible to modify the Apache "mod_security" simply because they do not use this type of security.
I just tried to edit my meta tags with google chrome to see If I was more
lucky but nope. What is weird is that it used to work before...
Speak later
OL
It worked before but now it doesn't - what changes were made to the server? They are never going to say...geez...
And I'll still bet 10 bucks they are using mod_security.
Hi Vaska, back from a long weekend, checking with you again if there aren't any other options or if I 'm pretty much gonna have to live with it that way, it's not the end of the world, I tried to disable, re-enable the plug-in but nope no difference, maybe I could remove it from the server and reinstall the meta tag plug in? best wishes O
I can take a look myself and I'm almost positive I'm going to find that the host has mod_security. Send me your FTP and studio login...but give me some time to look at this I have much to do right now...
