I receive the following error message when I try to load my website: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 261900 bytes) in /hermes/bosnaweb08a/b1291/glo.mszef/ndxzstudio/common.php on line 296

I have not made any changes to the site recently, but this seemingly just happened on its own.

Can you please help me to reactive my site - eightyeight-west.com?

Thank you!

Also, I cannot access the editor: eightyeight-west.com/ndxzstudio/

Perhaps these two issues are tied together. The website is hosted at Globat. They said that one of the plugins may be using too much space, but I have recently added or modified anything in my website.

I solved it. I just needed to change the password in my config.php file to match the new password for my host site.

The password change didn't fix my site problem. Any other clues?
Still getting this error:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 209715200 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 130968 bytes) in /home/powerhouseproductions/powerhouseproductions.org/ndxzstudio/common.php on line 296

site = powerhouseproductions.org/

You changed it in the config.php file? It's probably still not correct...

Yes, in the config.php file to match what i changed it to thru the Dreamhost dashboard. Site still not working : (

It was recommended that i install Xdebug or the like. Does that make sense to you? Haven't tied this yet, a bit out of my league at this point...

No, it doesn't make sense to use Xdebug. Just make 100% sure your connection info is correct and input correctly. Also make sure your database user has all privileges, etc (via the DH control panels).

I'm the only user and all the boxes are checked (Re: "What may ___ do to tables in these databases?")
Should i delete the database and make a new one?

No, do not delete the database!

I have seen before on DH and some other hosts that the db user gets stuck. You could create a new db user, apply it to the db, then update your config and see if that works.

Trust me, the problem is in this area - I've seen it many times. Your site is just fine, there is just something not lining up with the database and the connection. It will work out...

I believe you!! And thanks so very much for the speedy advice. Just frustrated and DH support & live chat don't have any useful advice. Try, try again...

So, it worked?

To be honest, DH is trying but it's hard for them to debug something like this. Which is why this forum is still around because there are eight years of this kind of stuff to read (but I realize it's hard to find things now).

Yes, it worked! Created a 2nd database user and then switching the config file to that user and the site is back up. And you're right, DH has been helpful before, i was just frustrated. Thanks again!!
