Config Issues

Hello,

I have recently changed the password to my database through BlueHost. I have changed the password in 'config.php' accordingly, however, it still isn't working. I have two websites and I have done the same for both:

arthurprior.com
constanzadessain.com

On arthurprior.com I get the error message: [an error occurred while processing this directive]

My config.php file reads:

Sorry I haven't been able to post the code, not sure why. Well, we all know what a config file should look like...

Assuming your code is correct - you might not have privileges on the database user?

Check and triple check...if it were only a simple password change things would be easy. I bet it's not.

Thanks for your reply Vaska,

In FileZilla I have changed the permissions of config.php to 777, however its still displaying the same error message. Is this what you meant?

No, database privileges - you access them via your webhosting control panel.

Hi Vaska, I have added privileges - I think I had them already - and this hasn't solved the issue. Is there something obvious I am missing?

Perhaps you could send me a blank config.php file and I can reload it to the database with my details...If you are happy to send it to me, you can send it to...

Edited by Vaska: please don't post email info here...

Sorry!

You can get one from config.example.php in the same folder.

I don't really know what's going on - simply changing a password isn't going to kill the site.

I know its weird isn't it?

The only conditions that have changed are:
- I changed my password and updated it in the config.php file
- I used FileZilla for Mac to perform the changes (whereas I have previously used Windows)

i never use Filezilla. i use Transmit or Coda (from Panic).

i think your password is probably not changed as you think it is - it's the only explanation i can think of.
