Indexhibit Support

Hello Forum,
I have to problems:

1. Since I've enabled clean URLs on my second (english) Indexhibit
(rosarai dot de slash en) the section links are'nt working anymore, meaning, they link back to the first (german) Indexhibit site. Im not sure, where to change it, since it worked well before the enabling.

2. I wanted to solve this one first, but after enabling clean URLs I cant even visit my english page and projetcs properly to point out what I mean. The section 'woodcut' includes a project named 'drachen gibt es nicht', which works with the horizontal format. In the English page for any reason the text on the left oft the images isnt displayed/hidden. Could s.b. please point out where to adjust this?

1. Do you have an .htaccess file in the /en/ folder? You might need to customize it slightly - some hosts are particular.

yes, I have an htaccess file in the /en folder and just changed it to .htaccess. It worked well with my first site doing this.

Just meant that following the instruction for enabling clean urls on Indexhibit dot org worked out well for my first german site. I guess since doing the same in the /en folder for the second site the linking doesnt work correct any more.

You need to edit the .htaccess...like this...last line should be...

RewriteRule ^(.+) /en/index.php

That should work.

You can edit that file yourself...

Just like on your de version, you need to set the options for your format - Admin > Formats > Horizontal [options].

I think that's it...

hm, I compared the options of both sites (horizontal), but in the DE site theres no adjustment taken. seperator, text width etc... are all on zero.

Did you customize that some other way then - CSS directly? Some people do that but it's not advised. Just do the settings on the EN version to what you want...

yeah, probably I did it in CSS directly at some point. and where would that be again? in the style css somewhere?
i see, i can change it in the settings also, would just be more the same when I'd overtake the ones from the DE site.

Most likely in the exhibit format file itself - but I don't know what to say when people make changes outside of what's provided. You'll have to dig around and find things...
