Slideshow plugin

mallen / 2008-12-21 20:39:47

Hi,

I would like to make some minor alterations to exhibit.slideshow.php plugin.

The url I'm working with is: http://www.kerriford.com/media/gallery/.

You'll notice the background area is cut off on the right-hand side of the image and the purple diagonal lines on the left are supposed to continue all the way down the left, but they stop abruptly near the top of the container div.

I'd also like to move 'prev' and 'nav' over just a few pixels. I managed to add some padding to the div where the images appear, but my other attempts at adding more styles to the plugin have not worked.

I'm CSS skills are pretty decent, so any pointers on how I can fix these little glitches would be lovely :-)

Thanx in advance!

I believe I have the same problem as you.
My site is www.everythingisaboutme.com

the same thing happens with my background when I have a slideshow with more than one images.

I asked a friend for help who knows css well (I don't...), and he told me that it has to be changed in the html:

oops. not done yet.

He said that the problem is the "position: absolute". That this should be taken out. However, I don't know how and where to do that since I haven't found any html files to modify.

Do you have any idea?

Looks like it's a bug with the format...needs a clear in there at some place.

I don't like this plugin...it's not good and has alot of random issues (because it's way too complex for what it does).

Aside from telling you that it might need another clear: left; or whatnot in there...there isn't much I can do for you.

If somebody else has time that's great...but most of the other help around here is off enjoying their vacation.

Thanks for your quick answer anyways!

A friend I know how might know how to do it is off on vacation as well.

Try the 'click switch' or Iwakami plugin instead...maybe it will be good enough. Search for click switch...

Thanks for the tip Vaska. The Iwakami plugin 'almost' works. It works but on the top of my page it gives me all kinds of code...

here's the screenshot:

Nikens / 2008-12-25 12:17:49

oops. That didn't work with the screenshot.

The code says:

Warning: getimagesize(http://everythingisaboutme.com/files/gimgs/etc..): failed to open stream no suitable wrapper could be found in home/httpd/vhosts/everythingisaboutme.com/httpdocs/ndxz-studio/site/plugin/exhibit.iwakami.php on line 59

and this for every image. However, the images show.

Thanks for all your help by the way Vaska.

Ah yes...that's a bug I need to fix...change BASEURL to DIRNAME in the plugin itself and it should be fixed.

;)

It worked. You're the king Vaska.

I just donated 100 bucks. Thanks a bunch, Indexhibit is great.
