Dear Vaska,
I know you alreay faced this kind of problems before, but I cannot find a proper answer for my case in previous threads.
I followed all instructions, uploaded on my ftp all folders and files, changed permissions, till properly log-in, but when I do this, and I can see the panel to manage the site www.letteraturagrigia.it, if I want to see the home of the site the "Internal server error" appears.
I also moved the htaccess and used the . but does not change anything.
The weird thing is that I tried to create a subfolder in my root, named info, and when I moved all folders and files there and tried to check if I could see something under ...mysite/info it worked!
Now I moved all back again in the root but here does not work.
Is probably the problem a very stupid thing I did, and I cannot think of?

My host is Aruba, and did not have problems before with it.
I checked if I have all files, and also tried again downloading ndxz-studio etc. No way.

Thank you

panel to manage the site

Which panel are you talking about?

I can't even get to your server...it appears to me that it's out of order.

Hi Vaska,
I mean I can log in and see the "back office" (Main, Settings etc), and even can work on that, but when I select View your site or simply go to my page www.letteraturagrigia.eu the Internal error appears, instead of my home,

thx

Yesterday, after experiencing these problems, I did the upload again. I also delete/cleaned everything from the db Mysql and started it over, but had the same problem again.

Check your files...I bet your index.php file in the root is the wrong file...

It makes no sense that the backend will work and the front doesn't...unless files or missing or damaged.

Or else it's some random server issue...

I do agree, it makes no sense in fact.
Actually I checked index again, but it is precisely the one I downloaded, and is the same of the copy of the download I have on my computer, I downloaded again.

I will probably delete all again, and try once more, but I already did twice.

Could it be a problem caused by the domain being only 3 days old?

when I try some changes in the backend, and then go to preview, the first time I load the page, it shows this:
lib_class('front'); // time for some action if ($rs['obj_theme'] == 'eatock') { $contents = $OBJ->front->front_eatock(); } else { $filename = DIRNAME . BASENAME . '/site/' . $rs['obj_theme'] . '/index.php'; $fp = @fopen($filename, 'r'); $contents = fread($fp, filesize($filename)); fclose($fp); } // makin' stuff happen $PARSE =& load_class('parse', TRUE, 'lib'); $PARSE->vars = $rs; $PARSE->code = $contents; echo $PARSE->parsing(); // do stats if they are wanted if ($default['statistics'] == TRUE) load_class('statistics', TRUE, 'lib'); exit; ?>

When I load it again, it appears Internal error...
this is just if you can get an idea, else I will delete all again.
thx

If you are seeing code something is missing...or some files are just totally not right.

I did it over again. Downloaded, upload on ftp, change permissions, set the host and db etc, could log in again, but again the same.
I cannot understand what is wrong, but I guess I have to give up...

hi guys l did have the same problem as you
but l figured out how to solve it: in filezilla or cyberduck just go on the install.php infos the same tab in which you change permissions and check "run" esegui in italian for the owner.
that's it!

hope it helps
good luck

hello
after following the installation steps, I keep getting the
" 500 Internal Server Error"
I tried reinstalling the files by transferring them again and overwriting (files, not the folder)
but the error message is still the same. One other thing, when I changed the permissions, I checked "apply changes recursively" ; is that a mistake?
my url is:
http://pelletierdefontenay.com/ndxz-studio/install.php
please help,

Thank you

Hi,

I am having same problems. I have followed the indexhibit instructions exactly but i get the 500 Internal Server Error. I have also posted a simple word doc to check that the site works and it shows so this makes me think it is the indexhibit files that are the problem, ive tried all of the suggestions here.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

it currently says

Database is not installed.

Im not sure why, i have trying different things to get the indexhibit files to work but most of the time i usually have the 500 internal server error and the 404 page not found.

My guess is that somehow your permissions have been all messed up. Make folders 755 and files 644. Then see if you can bring up the files. Then, follow the installation instructions again for doing 777 on particular folders...
