What are you listening to today?
I'm playing around with Airfoil on Youtube sending the audio to my stereo...listening to Nirvana covers on ukulele, Cat Power, Fiona Apple, Pixies, Penguin Cafe Orchestra.
And it's really loud. ;)

Today in my tracklist are: Oasis, Coldplay, Dire Straits and Pink Floyd.
Listening to a few dubtech EPs from the Modern Love label
Funny, cause I'm listening to the Ukulele version of " Creep ".
( a few weeks ago I bought one :)
+ the french " Radio Classique ", and some Fred Astaire's.
Nice...what did you get? I'm seriously looking...for a real one (not a cheap one). The baritone ones interest me but I think a concert will be the best route to go.
Oi! cruz! ouviste o album do A Made Up Sound "Shortcuts"?
less is more. mas é bom =)
carlos.
vaska, today i was trying to install indexhibit, listening the last album of J. Tillman ...
I'm more on the tech than on the dub ;)
Nice!
It's nearly impossible to find a quality audio of Jackson 5 'I Want You Back' on Youtube...without it being a remix.
I didn't know anything about playing music.
So after searching on forum, I went there www.rfcharle.com.
Then the stringed-instrument maker suggested me to begin, to buy a PSO Soprano from Pono.
It wasn't cheap, but the quality is there and the sound is surprisingly nice.
The trouble is that they sell it with a case; as soon as you leave the sjop, you like a musician. I wanted to hide.
A day after, I came back to buy a Fluke Uke Concert for my ten-years-old girl. Cause I felt guilty to have so much fun by myself.
Again, it wasn't that cheap, but the man insisted, telling me that the mechanical parts ( les " clefs " en Français ) had to be in metal to be good. And he was damn right.
You need a good instrument to be able to tune it properly.
I Want You Back (remix)
Midnight Train to Georgia (adaption)
i do love a good jackson 5 song, but today i'm listening to belle and sebastian and the new grizzly bear album. so good!
"Motown Breakdown" by ZTrip, the best of Motown in a 20 minutes crazy mix.
The Project-Brooklyn, Breakbeat Era, Claus Nomi-Total Eclipse, Lee Scratch Perry-Police And Thieves, Napalm Death-John Peel Sessions (after leaving from my accountant), Modern Talking (oooh yeah!), Coldcut feat Hextatic video podcast, Booker T and the MGs, Beastie Boys and Primus. And now I'm listening to Martsman - 8bit bouncer... again!
i think i'm going to insert some "worried noodles" inside my computer drive.
arsondpi, you got very good choices…
modern talking, yeah baby!
ever heard "8-bit operators" tribute?
nice! i've heard some mr.martsman. made me feel like hearing some pixel milking by venetian snares!
modern talking forever

I know what you mean... The hair and the shirt with the shoulder padding....
I bet I can find hundreds of new clients if I looked like that. :-D
I hope you didn't miss out on the excellent computer graphics and stage settings. (check 2:58 for example)

Today was a Matthew Herbert Big Band day for me.
Needed calm.

battle ruins, cocksparrer, criminal damage, quest for fire and black sabbath.
After months of mostly being dormant...my new studio is putting the wheels back on. Today, it's all Pixies...
;)
Feeling a bit Tinariwen today...
It's my dream to see them play in Mali (especially since I live next door to them) but it might not be safe. Fingers crossed...
Reposting the vid because I can... ;)
Tinariwen!!!
Tinariwen
thanks for sharing!
I like to move it from Madagascar. :-D
hey you people like good music here.
Todays highlights have been... Fela kuti, nick drake, the old sinead o connor reggae album (throw down your hands-..) and ali farke toure. and a stand out reefer decree session.
And as always, fip radio (french (government funded?)) radio station. Never has there been a more reliably eclectic and interesting station. Try, I must insist.
I gotta dig out the album again... Sukia.
@ littlehorse : FIP is a public radio, but in france public media is more independent than private ones, so…
;)
Just now, I play Rocé, one of the best french rappers.
At the moment it's Prince's Black album.
Does anyone else has the new Four Tet album stuck in his head?
Never heard of it. Today is a Cat Power kind of day around here.
