Hello Everybody
somehow I deleted the the main category in which my startpage was.
If I log in to indexhibit my works are still shown. But there is not link to my webpage.(petetheheat.com)
Any Idea how I could get it back ?

Because you deleted the main page...search around here for the Site Reset Script...should be able to fix things.

You are lucky tthomas just wrote this up. Otherwsise, get used to using the search tools in the future...we don't know where everything is around here any more.

1. download http://www.indexhibit.org/downloads/site-reset.php.zip

2. unzip contents

3. upload to your websites /ndxz-studio/ folder

4. go to http://yoursite.com/ndxz-studio/site-reset.php

5. deleted 'site-reset.php'.

Does this mean that it is o.k. for me to delete a section but not the main/root section?
I get nervous when the pop up window reads
" Are you sure? This will delete all pages in this section too."

Thanks for your efforts so far but I still don't succeed solving the problem. I did the 5 steps process described above, but still get no results. On step 4 it just opens a blank page, and then after I delete the 'site-reset.php' file I still get the "Database is not installed" message when I try to open the website and the "Forbidden - You don't have permission to access /shlomitb/ndxz-studio/ on this server.

I think I deleted by mistake the section which allowed me to edit (or i guess, to have at all) a mainpage, a startpage. I assume I have deleted the category (section?) because i can't work out at all how to get anything up there.

I searched in the forums and found this thread, followed the site-reset script instructions - but nothing happened. I got a message saying "everything looks fine - nothing was changed".

Any ideas?

Is there some other key words that I am missing that might be able to help me look in the forums for a solution?

OK... well i solved my problem.

I figured since the resetscript was saying there wasn't a problem maybe I hadn't actually deleted the main page.

I searched around a bit more and found this thread...

... and I realised that maybe I must have just renamed the index page (is it called that?), made it into another section i wanted, and not been relaising that it was controlling my main page content (as it was blank and i wasn't concerning myself with it yet).

Anyway just thought I should post this up here in case anyone else was being as stupid as me! I guess the lesson is to not go around changing stuff willynilly without realising what you are doing, or at least keeping a log of the changes you are doing!

I'm sorry, i did the same mistake and i tried to do the 5 steps but nothing has changed.

it's written: Everything looked just fine - nothing was changed.
But even after the step 5, my page is still "Not found".
I'm pretty sure i deleted the main section, so how can i build it again?

I guess the best solution is to start everything from the begining!?

I can't seem to access my home page. I have deleted indexexhib from my cyberduck a couple of times but have reinstalled and can't get things working. I notice I don't have a home.php file and I receive this message when I type in my domain name: danieloscarhunter.com

This is the message that I receive:

I made a complete backup, created a new database through PHP admin and then uploaded the old data (exhibits etc).
Success!

I have the same error as pete because I accidentally deleted my index page. I read on another thread to use PHPMyAdmin but I am not sure what that is. I found it on my webhost site but I do not know how to get into it. I can't find a working link to the site reset script which I assume does the same thing. Thanks very much for your help.

I am trying to download the site-reset, but it doesn't shows up throught the link.I am having a problem and my website shows just a white screen,and i can't acces to my admin panel.I have tried to reinstall but still i can't acces to the loging area.Searching I found thuis thread and I want to try to reset the site to see if helps.

I've deleted "about this site" where it was marked in blue "hidden", under "Main". Have I done something wrong that will effect my building my idexhibite site ? It was this stupid girl's tutorial i followed on youtube. I've been sitting here all day and night, and that was the only tutorial, I was actually better off without her. Really hope I haven't done anything wrong. If so how do I get that section back ?

hello -- i'm having the same problem as the above posters. i've changed my settings as instructed in the ndxz_objects SQL, and i got around it momentarily by assigning one of the pages a false /index.php url, though my problem isn't solved. if anyone can take a look i would really appreciate it! i'm building the site from a folder inside of my existing website.

...now I have another problem, i have uploaded the site reset script to my website's /ndxz-studio/ folder, but then http://yoursite.com/ndxz-studio/site-reset.php they say "500 International Server Error"
What did i make wrong?

Basically I installed the program..finally and got it working fine and then I must have deleted or moved something in my files and it has since stopped working. At first I could still continue editing my site, but now I can't even get onto ndxz-studio :/

I have searched the forums (good stuff) and tested a few things, but I think i've made it worse!!

Also under my ftp acounts it says 'AJAX ERROR' ...screawed?! I think i've somehow disconnected the database or something if that makes any sense..i don't know!
