Hey Vaska,

I seem to have forgotten my Login and Password as well but I've tried the recovery script a few times but when i direct my browser to raceydesigns.com/ndxz-studio/reset.php it keeps coming up with a 404 Not Found Errror.

What can I do?

Thanks,

Rachel

Hi all,

Same old story - I'm having the same problems everyone else here seems to have had.

Tried to log in for the second time - I had changed my password and login the first time.
After using that, plus trying the default login, plus installing the password reset/deleting it, plus trying shift/refresh/a different browser, I am still getting the "password or login incorrect" response. I am completely lost as to what to do at this point.

My site is caitlinsmith.net

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks so much.

Yes, I've been to the Useful Threads link and followed directions on how to reset my password correctly with no luck.

I've also tried logging in again with both the default username/pw and also with what I thought was the username/pw i replaced it with this morning to no avail.

Hello,

I just finished filling out my database server info and have reached the login (index1) and pass (exhibit) page. these do not seem to work for me. i was prompted to delete the "config.php," which i did. i have not deleted the "install.php." should i do that now? thank you for your time.

No...you should never see the delete config.php message because you are supposed to delete the install.php WHEN you are done installing. So, you've killed your site...

Look in /ndxz-studio/config/config.example.php and use this as a basis to manually recreate the config.php file...just put your database info and all will be good.

And then delete the install.php.

I'm sorry for being a total beginner, but are you wanting me to just duplicate the config example and rename 'config?' and then re-enter index1 and exhibit info?

Verify that you have all your files in the right place. There's many index.php files that only share their name - their data are totally different. Sometimes when you upload files, ftp cuts off and files don't work like they should...

Hi all
I encountered some problems with the install. First, it didn't work at all (no language options), so I asked my host to move my site to a linux-server (windows before). Now, installation worked like a charm, always saying something like "looks ok", all the way through to the login page.

There I entered user: index1 / pswd: exhibit as written in the instructions. After clicking "Login", the two textfields just get cleared and I'm on the empty login-page again. It doesn't say anything like "wrong password", whatever I enter.
I tried the reset.php script recommended in the forum - still the same.
I checked the database entries with phpMyAdmin via my host control panel. The database seems to be setup right (8 tables: iptocountry, ndxz_media, ndxz_objects, ndxz_objects_prefs, ndxz_sections, ndxz_settings, ndxz_stats, ndxz_users). In the _users-table, there is one entry: userid = index1 (as I expected), password = 52264ed8b5f5fa4b597d0fe61bed6a96 . I tried with this password - still the same. (probably because its more than 12 chars? "exhibit" in hex or some other encryption?)
I changed the password to "exhibit" - still the same.
I tried with different browsers (Firefox, Safari, GoogleChrome) - still the same.
I tried with a different OS on a different computer - still the same.
I tried a complete reinstall (delete all tables in the database, delete all indexhibit-files in my root folder) and start from scratch - still the same.
I tried to "wait one day" (recommended in the forum) - still the same.

I'm "at the end of my latin". I can enter index1/exhibit or anything else, I don't even get an error message like wrong password - just the login page with two empty textfields over and over again.

The site in question is: www.mathiasbernhard.ch/ndxz-studio/

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

Kind regards
Mathias Bernhard

The reset.php can be found in the download-section under "Password Recovery Script" and an explanation how to use it can be found here.

Any proposals for how to attack my problem?

Matt, I think your installation failed. What you need to do in order to properly try the installation again (reinstall) is delete the tables from your database, start with fresh files, and then do the installation.

Vaska, thanks for your reply. When I did the first re-install, I dropped all the tables from the database (as adviced in this forum) but did not delete the database itself. I will try this, with a new database and reinstall again... Will post in case of success...

Nonononono...you don't need to delete the database itself. Did I say that? I didn't mean to say that if that's how it sounded...woops.

Don't worry. That's not what you said. That's just something like my last hope. But creating and deleting databases isn't a big deal with my host's control panel anyway.
Maybe I'll try with just deleting the tables again first.
