For some reason some of my images are not uploading

I select them from a file on my desktop then upload... the machine thinks for a bit then simply does not register the image.

curiously on other images from the same folder it does work. I have checked and they are all Jpegs under 4mb.

Any suggestions?

Get your images in smaller KB size... under 4MB?
Anything below 500-600KB is acceptable...

Anyhow - check that your folder permissions are set correctly...

the images are anyway smaller than 4mb (around 1) - tried making them even smaller but no luck

how can I check my folder permissions?? Is it within indexhibit or through my host or ftp?

many thanks

Hi,
I have the same problem too; I select an image (jpg&smaller than 4mb), it seems that's uploading, but when it ends, there's no image.

thank you~

What is your site and the name of the last image you tried to upload?

Unfortunately I have the same problem, I have used Indexhibit for years on my own site but when setting up a new one last night I couldn't even upload images that were 12k.

All permissions are set to 777

I have access to the servers control panel but wouldn't know what to change/look for

logo.jpg was the last image I tried to upload and it just dissapears, any help would be greatly appreciated

Yup. Thanks.

Now, are you positive you have permissions at 777 for both the files and gimgs folders? If it doesn't work...then try 755 and see if you can upload.

Sorry yes the site is just one image and a header, just something simple for a freelancer..

I have changed permissions to 755 on both folders and nothing, changed back to 777 and still wont upload. Just hangs for a second.. the same if you try and select an image for the background, it appears then dissapears

I have full access to a control panel and read some posts regarding PHP but wouldn't know what to change, plus it says on the PHP status:

File Uploads-Whether to allow HTTP file uploads =    On

Who is the host?

Perhaps you need to reupload all the files - could be that something isn't in it's place (happens often with FTP).

You can reupload everything except don't touch:

/ndxz-studio/config (folder and contents)
/ndxz-studio/site/$your_theme (folder and contents)

Finding out who the host is could be useful. If this is his own machine I would give up...so many things that could not be setup properly.

I was thinking that myself, I normally use one.com who are great/cheap and work perfectly with Indexhibit

Cheers :)
