I only know very basic html/css so please bear with me :-/

First of all, I keep reading posts where the response is "just add the file to the file manager then grab the link". What file manager?? I know about the file manager that my server provides. Is that what everyone is referring to??

Back to the PDF...
Is it possible to have a section link as a downloadable PDF??? I've seen it before but cant get it to work! For starters, I don't think I have the PDF located in the correct place...but I'm not sure where to put it.

www.jennflores.net (the "PDF" link under "ABOUT"). As you can see, I put a "download" link within the section but I don't want to do that nor does it even work.

Thanks!!

No, it's not really possible to do this - easy answer.

If you learn some html you could probably fake something via the Pre and Post Nav spaces in Exhibits > Settings.

If you can't see the Files Manager you might not be in Advanced Mode...go to Exhibit > Settings and make sure you are.

I understand. I'll play with it and try to trick the pre/post nav spaces.

I checked and I'm in Advanced Mode but still don't see the Files Manager...maybe I didn't install it correctly?

Thanks!

Files Manager is the 5th button (icon=folder) on the left just beside the exhibition name when you create/change an exhibit.

Helloooo. I'm dumb. I was looking for the link that read "Files Manager" instead of a button.

Thanks so much :)

So does this mean it is not possible for a section link to link to an external page, such as facebook or twitter?

You can.

Easy way : pre- or post-nav link with the section title style.

Hard way : hard-coding to try to have it in the middle of your sections…

another solution:
putting this html code in the exhibit with the "Process HTML" option ON

  1. <meta HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" content="0; url=http://www.yourdomain.com/index.html">

gds506 or anyone: would it also be possible in addition to your great solution to open the pdf in the 'content' area of the page (right from the menu, the menu stays visible)? (I tried with target='content' but this doesn't seem to work ...
