Hello,

I've my website working with Indexhibit, but I placed it in a subfolder (not the root folder). I'm following your tutorial in order to get clean URLs but it don't seems to work. I wonder if I should modify the code of .htaccess
(My server has "mod_rewrite" enabled so all should be working...)

Thanks in advance,
Guillem

modrewrite/htaccess have different setups on different hosts. Htaccess is a very picky codebase as well...

You might be allowed to have htaccess files accessing modrewrite in the folder. You might need to leave it at the root and change the path accordingly - but this is not a great solution.

Have you asked your host if they have any info about this and their setup?

I'm trying to get clean URLs on my site. I've cahnged modrewrite to true and also renamed to .htaccess. When I click a link, it works the first time, but then all project links refuse to work. I've tried unpublishing and republishing, but no joy. Can you help? My webhost says "mod_rewrite is enabled in our Linux hosting packages" which I have.

Thanks
Julian
