Hello
I want to install indexhibit in a sub diretcory so that I can keep my main site up while I work on the new site.
I've managed to install it but am unable to view the newsite as I experiment with what the new site will be.
Any tips?
Is there another way to work on a newsite while keeping my old site up?

Installing indexhibit in a subdirectory should work fine. What happens when you try to view it?

I've installed it in the subdirectory
www.epicworlds.com/jonnokatz

If I go to http://www.epicworlds.com/jonnokatz/ndxz-studio/
that's we're I edit my site.
But when I try to view the changes it takes me back to www.epicworlds.com/jonnokatz and it just shows the files in that subdirectory.
Do I need to put the index.php somewhere else?

When I put put the index.php in the jonnokatz folder it gives me this:

Warning: require_once(defaults.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/huilzidb/public_html/jonnokatz/index.php on line 23

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'defaults.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/huilzidb/public_html/jonnokatz/index.php on line 23

Hi Jonno... you need help from someone smarter than me (I'm just a beginner with indexhibit)... but whilst your waiting for proper advice, download a clean version of indexhibit, look at the file structure, and make sure that you successfully FTPed all the files to your server...

It works!

For anyone in the future encountering this problem it was just that I didn't install all the files properly. The simple solution was to rename the indexhibito7oe folder as the folder I wanted to keep the site in. Then I just ftp'd the whole folder up and installed.

Thanx for your help Richard.
