I was hoping someone on here with more css knowledge could help me out. for whatever reason, IE is changing my menu and body size when I resize the window which then reformats the css and covers images... I already asked someone else on the forums about it and they couldn't remember how they fixed it. he thought it had to do with setting container widths to "absolute".

does anyone have a quick fix for this...?

thanks again everyone...

Yes, IE would do that...you're onto a custom path here so you need to go down that path completely now.

If I was you, I would edit my css so that I didn't need the scrolling in the left/index side of things. If you did this you could then take out the ie.css file completely from your template.

The problem with your design...or I should say the problem with IE...is that your name/image is so big that IE will want to cover it all the time. Yes, very annoying, but welcome to the world of ie/html/css.
