I installed indexhibit properly but I cannot login into cms.
index1 / exhibit. don't work.
Is it possible that there is somewhere an old password saved on my server? If so, how can I reset the login data.
Apparently I uploaded the whole stuff a new, so it should be completely clean.
Any help would be great.

Did you already have an installation in the past? Did you delete everything in the database before you reinstalled (you need to do that for a truly clean install)?

Any idea??? or where could be login information saved? My browsers are all clean. I drive a mac with safari and firefox, it doesn't work in neither safari nor firefox.

is it that your first login should be done like this:
"The first time you go there, the login is index1 and the password is exhibit."
why is that? is it sopposed like this or not?
It's supposed to be like this. Read a post called "Installation for dummies" - you can't go wrong with it...

i was testing indexhibit on a free webspace. i liked it a lot.
so i´m about to install it on my real webspace.
now same problem. i´m not able to login.
i checked everything. proper install. all the database name from my provider allinkl.
the site is there but the first login with "index1" is not possible.
i also cleaned the ftp server and reinstalled. no change.
any idea where the problem is?

because i don´t want my data to be offline, i put my old dokuwiki-site on sonjarohleder.de
i wonder if the reason is actually dokuwiki with some not deletable hidden data, that indexhibit can not cope with.
