Hello kind people,

I needed a temporary page while I built the site so I followed the initial splash page tips

It's up, the first page is called "index.php" it didn't work naming it "index.html" I put a hidden button in there to the main site, so i can check it while building but I can't at all get the link to the first page which was "index.php" but renamed "home.php" apparently it can't be found but its there in the same folder!

oh dear, can anyone shed any light for me?

ps. the site is www.rui-faustino.com and the hidden link is under all the other links!

you probably misunderstood the index.html issue: it is not possible that it doesn't work if you do it properly.
you must not rename the original exhisting index.php, but you should create yourself a simple index.html and upload it in your root, and rename home.php back to index.html...

Thanks for the help, I've done as you say but now when I got to the site, it doesn't show my temporary page, but the first main site page.

So I renamed the original index.php back to index.php and then named my temp page index.html all of this is in my template folder in "site" called "temporary" Is that my root then?

So just to clarify in my template folder called "temporary" I have an index.php (that was my original index - the site im working on in the background) and index.html (the temporary page, which should have a hidden link to the main site) do i still need to change htaccess doc?

Hello, I´m guessing the problem is that you have everything located at
http://www.rui-faustino.com/ndxz-studio/site/temporary/
this is NOT your root folder, your root folder is at http://www.rui-faustino.com That is to say the same folder that contains ndzx-studio. In there is an Index.php that is different from the one you have been editing.
