I have gone through all of the installation instruction (i believe)

my main home page still appears as the default webhost "website underconstruction"
when i click on the 'preview' of any section in my editing panel, it comes out as error 404.

Your site is blocked by your host - you need to delete their index.html file at the root of your site. Also, it seems that you are also missing the Indexhibit index.php file in the root as well.
Not a big deal though...just make those changes...do a shift + browser refresh and all will be good. Hopefully...

now when i click on a link on the website, it says "Oops! This link appears to be broken." on my google chrome
It's all in the installation instructions...about 'clean urls'...
