My site was hacked and now comes up as selling viagra & windows xp ads when doing a google search.

in trying to find the problem, i opened the index.php file in textedit and it appears all black. does this indicate a problem?

in the middle of reloading the site now and running into 500 Internal Srerver Errors. Not sure what i have done wrong. Cannot find the helpful 'hacked' threads that everyone keeps referring to. If anyone could post a direct link i will stop banging my head against the wall.

could someone tell me if the index.php file opening as all black means anything?

It's not possible for it to open as all black...it's just code...text...

Ok, it's black. I've never heard of this before (for a text file)...sounds very bad...random.

I guess you should delete it all and start over.
