Section by year changes on its own!

Hey,

Must admit this is about my 10th install of indexhibit now.. each time I have more work to put up and change my mind on design and so on!

In all those times I haven't come across this one though.

The sections are playing games with me!
'Project Sections' are ON
'Section Titles" are ON

Now the year order changes at free will? Sometimes 2001 is at the top sometimes 2007. When I move exhibits around from one section to another the order changes.. but I cant figure out a work around or what exactly it is doing?

Any help would be wonderful.. its never happened before,

Cheers,

Mejo

You on the latest version? Are they bad in both the cms and the frontend?

And don't forget to link back to Indexhibit...

Nice one for speedy response!

No - only bad in front end.

Yes always link back.. for some reason there is a random X where it used to say 'Built with Indexhibit' now.. somethings playing up somewhere..

** edit.. yes installed v0.70d this afternoon.

Try this...go into your Projects section and disable the 'project' option. Then go into your Exhibits->Settings and switch from Chronology to Sectional.

Then, order your pages as the should be. Then, switch back to chronological and re-enable the project setting for the section itself.

I've seen this once before where somehow, and I still can't figure out how, if things aren't setup properly you can get some randomness. It was solved...it is working for alot of other people. So I think we have an air bubble and we need to squeeze it out.

Bizarre.. think I got what your saying.

Now I have top down, 07 -> 08 -> 06 -> 05 -> 01 !

...go into your Projects section and disable the 'project' option.

Where? you mean: settings, sections - edit....?

If you go into Exhibits->Settings and look at your sections. One of them will have an X beside it - this means that it is a "Projects Section". Edit the section and turn Project Section to off. That's what I mean.

If it won't kill you, I think you might consider deleting everything...wiping the database and starting over. Then be sure your organization method is setup before you do anything...

Monkeying around with it won't hurt anything...maybe you'll get the bubble out of there...

Deleted and started over more times than I can remember now.. not cause of indexhibit.. but simply because of my artistic temperament!

think I'll try monkeying around until it works.. cant start over again! ;)

ps. nice one for getting on twitter.. really helps!

Aw schucks! Looks like I inserted a bug on this one with the latest update. Today the files will be updated...solved.

Thanks to Mejo for helping us track this down.
