Animated GIF

Hello,

I've been having a hard time trying to insert animated GIF in the Horizontal Format view. By accessing the "gimgs" folder through my FTP I realized that all GIF images are compressed when they are uploaded, even if I set the "maximum image size" as fullpx.

I thought I would solve the problem when uploading the original GIF file through my FTP and replacing it by the compressed one generated by the Indexhibit system. However, it seems that each time the webpage is reloaded it generates a new PNG and displays this PNG image instead of the original animated GIF or even the compressed GIF.

I have no idea how to approach this.
I would appreciate if someone could enlighten me on that.
Thanks!

Indexhibit does not and never has allowed animated gifs (it's a limitation that stems from the GD library being hard to work with). And yes, if you are resizing the image it will regenerate a new image for display.

You could upload the gif via FTP but then never ever touch the image size option again for that exhibit.
