after i updated to version 2 I have 2 questions:
Q1: my website still uses the old settings from version1 ...
What do I have to do, so it uses V2?
Q2: I tried to follow the steps in "Updating themes and exhibit formats for Indexhibit 2" but I don`t understand which files I have to change!
any help much appreciated.
It would be helpful if you showed us your site...
1 - if you are using v2 you are using v2 settings - plain and simple.
2 - need to see your site.
but it doesn`t use V2 settings ... althouh I installed it and also can use the new ndxz-studio ...
You never uploaded the v2 root index.php file - this is why it looks like the old site. ndxz-studio will still work, but it's the old site.
Backup your site before you do anything else - I'm afraid you are going to damage something.

another question: how can i uodate the iwakami plugin so it works in V2?
It's been replaced with Slideshow (iwakami was based on slideshow in the first place). There is a beta for it around here somewhere - check the customization forum.
