derekdudekdesign.com

Hey there,

Loved the old version, It stopped working unfortunately so I purchased upgrade. I went through the appropriate step updating the database, but I keep getting hung up on the installation: derekdudekdesign.com/ndxzstudio/…

Any Ideas?

thx - Derek

What part are you getting hung up on though - what's happening?

So on that installation page I enter my info - site name / user name / last name / email

Basically, I click "submit" and it seems the page doesn't want to push the installation through. It just stays on the that screen and doesn't move forward. Not sure what the problem could be from there?

Do you get a configuration error? Are the database connection details correct and allow you to continue?

No error message, just when I enter the info and hit submit, the page stays put?

If my details (site name / user name / last name / email) were off, would I get a error message? Just trying to get the root of the problem, still not sure what the deal is. Everything in the database seems to be in order.

Are there no error logs for your server?

ddudek257 / 2013-12-23 17:13:14

No, I don't see any error logs. After I put the info in and click submit, the page loads and stays put. Any tips to move this forward?

Reupload the 'ndxzstudio' folder
Only put permissions on the files/folders we say

I realize you used it before, but I'm not totally confident that your database hostname is an IP address. You should look into that...and confirm the db login and password.

If that doesn't work, I'll help out.

But, it's basically christmas so time is a bit limited - it will take some time to find a moment the next few days if you know what I mean...

Ok thanks, yea I re-uploaded. Yea good call with the database connections, let me double check with my host on those, I don't think I have that right.

Yea no rush on this, just wanna get rolling before things get crazy. Merry Xmas!

Ok, I got past the installation. Now im looking to change the "syntax for template variables and plugins" do I update the old files with these instructions? Or the Ver. 2 ones?

Basically this for the updated database to reference the old version, correct?

just trying to piece this together as I go.

i don't want to be a curmudgeon, but you should ask that in a new thread. this one is about the upgrade itself.

whatever you do, make sure you have a backup of what you are working on.

you can update things with a code editor. it's even better if you know how to do a regex search and replace (changing

Like changing...

  1. <% to {{

Kind of thing.
