displaying site as if it was on root but actually not

Hi, i have installed indexhibit in a folder inside the root and wish to leave it there but I want the site to be displayed as if it was installed in root.
I have tried doing it by moving the index.php and htaccess files into root.. (and left a copy also in the indexhibit folder)
doesn't seem to work..
Looked out the threads to seek for an answer couldn't find, maybe i am missing something.
thanks a lot
Lilu

You need to move everything in the root directory.

I'm not sure what you mean - the site you posted is working and its backend/login page is also in the root directory.

ummmm.... login is in gastonickowicz.com/indexhibit/ndxzstudio/
its works both ways i guess.. strange, but the fact is that all the files but the index.php are in a folder called indexhibit in root...
thank u

maybe the domain name is set to redirect itself to the indexhibit folder with the help of a script?

Type "domain name redirect" in a search engine - many ways to do this.
Ask your host as you maybe able to do this with your control panel.
