using the slideshow format, thumbnails are showing, but they are not working as links to show the other photos. how can I fix this?

I could not find a way to start a new thread, that is why I am asking here:
Is there any way to build a page as my "start page" with thumbnails, that lead to the other pages when you click on the images?
