Hi,

My files/gimgs/ directory is appearing in my website search results despite having a 'Disallow: /files/' in my robot.txt file. I can't quite work out what I'm doing wrong. Some guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Steve

Hi,

what permission do you have for the folder /files/gimgs?

Hi,

755. The directory link only seems to appear if you type the website name + nz. Doesn't appear if it's just the website name. Thanks

Does your folder /files/gimgs contain a file named index.html? This file can be empty, but it must be present, in order to prevent a directory listing. Indexhibit contains it by default, but maybe it was somehow deleted.

I've got the empty index.html file in the /files/ directory but not in /gimgs/ folder. I'll now add this.

Thank you tarjan17. :)
