No file manager

My file icon that should be above my test box is no there, and I just installed Indexhibit. Anyone know what's wrong?

Go to your Exhibits > Settings and put yourself in Advanced Mode...then it will show up.

Oh thank goodness!

Dear Vaska,

I am having the same problem - that is, I can't find my file manager. After searching through various threads, I noticed that the prescription is to turn on advanced mode in the settings menu. But I have done this and still cannot see the file manager. Any other tips?

Thanks very much.

Update: I was able to locate the file manager by opening up an exhibit and clicking the small icon above the text box that looks like a file folder.

hi,
I have the same problem, there is no file icon above my text box only the link manager. Sorry I don`t understand what to do. I´m new and have less expert knowledge about installation.I want to upload a mp3 file and it does`t work. Do you have any simple tips? regards

This thread is about the older -Legacy- version of Indexhibit.
You most probably have a Version 2 site, in which case you upload the mp3 file as any other media, click the Tools (Edit) icon and then click the Insert file link.
You will get something like

  1. <media:mp3 'filename_of_your_mp3.mp3' />

in your main text box which you can then cut/copy and paste anywhere you like (the code above is actually the player).

Kathrin_Horsch I'm closing this thread as it might get confusing for future forum users - I reckon the post above was explanatory but if you have any problems create a new thread.
:-)

This thread has been closed, thank you.
