ah, permissions I turned it back to 755 then it worked
and then somehow the installation did not detect anything from before. Now all empty. What to do?
I see your old site just fine - where is the new site?
ah after a bit of frolicking around, I found out whats wrong now.
dumb me I accidentally deleted the old ndxz-studio
but still, thanks Vaska.
quick question, once I've finished the update and migration, should I need to kill the old ndxz-studio file?
so while I'm trying to make edits in the editor, I dont see the stuff being applied?
ignore the post above.
this is what I'm seeing now:
Warning: require_once(ndxz-studio/defaults.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /hermes/waloraweb030/b74/moo.shentingcom/index.php on line 16
Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'ndxz-studio/defaults.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php-5.2.17/lib/php') in /hermes/waloraweb030/b74/moo.shentingcom/index.php on line 16
once I put the old ndxz-studio back in, then I see the old site again.
Hold on...slow down.
First of all, you should backup the old site.
The above error is looking for the file at /ndxz-studio/defaults.php - reupload that file. However, if you've installed Indexhibit 2 already then I think you need to simply upload the index.php from v2 (replacing the old one in root) and it will show the new version.
There may still be things that need to happen though...
And, for now, until your new site is done, don't delete ndxz-studio - you still have the option to utilize the old version if needed.
oh yes. thanks. yeah the site showed up now. I do have the old site back up.
I just realized all the customization(random front page back ground, my favicon, fonts) I had from the old guy all went to dust.
now begins the rebuild...
