Trouble with v2

idoiaesteban / 2012-11-02 11:38:10

Hi,
I think I´ve done all the instalation process correctly, and I´ve checked with my host the requirements and it´s everything ok, but I think the v2 is not working properly.

When I create the index, and I write a text and load images, sometimes I can not see it in preview (neither in the site). Also the index is not working as link buttons, I mean even if there are content in each exhibit, I can see one of the exhibits but that´s all.

I´ve read tones of tutorials and forum answers but I can´t find a solution. I don´t know so much about all this things, but even so I thought I could do it on my own. I think I´ve done the most dificult part but now I can´t see the way

Please, I need some help!
Thank you so much

Hello - what's your url address?
Have you checked the permissions and htaccess file? are they how they ought to be?

Hi!
thanks for your quick response!
the site is aitorgutierrez.com
As I read in the installation tutorial I changed the permissions of the folders files, dimgs, gimgs, cache and config to 777.
what should I do with htaccess file?

Have you activated the Indexpand plugin?
You should exclude the sections you don't want to expand in the Indexpand options (which means that they'll work as normal section exhibits)

Yes, Indexpand plugin is activated. Every section is excluded, and I tried in different ways to see what happens but it not seem to change anything.
I realised that if I go to the index and clic in "open in a new window", it opens right the content in a new window. ?¿

what about htaccess file? the permissions of this file is 666, should I change that?

idoiaesteban / 2012-11-02 13:38:50

It seems that you still have Expanding Menus enabled though...

ah ok! I´ve just disable Expanding menu plugin, (I did it with Indexpand) and now it works!
Thank you!!

Can I ask you something else?
I´d like when you move the mouse over the images a lighten overlay appears with a text. How should I do this? The ovelay options in visual index format doesn´t work..

And something else, how can I insert an image in the top of the site?

thanks so much for your patient with an inexperienced like me.

You can use css for this... or jquery with transitions. The only thing is that you need coding skills for this. Basic at least...

As for the latter question check there's a few threads in the forum:
