Cannot get into main page

Hello, something has happened while I was uploading an image to my main page. Now I cannot access it at all. I tried to upload the splash page plugin in an effort to fix something...to get something to work...but nada. Having a really hard time. Sorry. Frustrated.
Now I have followed some of the splash page plugin steps but am stuck otherwise. Cannot access main page. It's just blank white. Can access other pages. Thank you.

Did you mix up your files? Simply reupload the root index.php of your site.

Be really careful when playing with FTP - even I mess things up sometimes (it's good to have backups).

Thanks. I'll try that. Really appreciate the fast response.

Also, I'm afraid I've really messed things up now. When I hit the contact section I get this:
Not Found
The requested URL /contact/ was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Yesterday when I was talking with Dreamhost they sent me this link and really freaked me out: wiki.dreamhost.com/….
I made that change with the hta access but maybe I messed something up. I'm not sure what I've done. Sorry to be so hopeless with this stuff.

OK I sent that over. Thank you.

You were crashing the server process because you were uploading images that were far too big. This is why options.php doesn't want you (be default) to upload just any image that is too large. You need to resize them and find what works with your server power limitations.
