2.1 Install Issues

I followed the instructions, and used a fresh SQL db and user. Running PHP 5.6.

- No confirmation that installation was successful. Just a blank screen. Admin and Pref links lead to blank screens.

- When testing installation, I cannot use the image uploader. I just get a blank rectangle (using latest Chrome on Mac OSX).

- Cannot try in a another browser because my user/password not accepted. Is this not the site login info? Where do I find this?

Deleted and retried three times now, with no luck. I tried both 755 and 777, new SQL dbs, Chrome and Safari (figured out the whole index1 user thing), and it is just blank after install every time.

I'm not sure if you are installed or not? It sounds like you are installed.

Who is your host?

Inmotionhosting. I definitely had it working perfectly with the last version on the same host.

I'm not convinced you are running php 5.6. What's happening is very indicative of older php's.

I checked the version on my cpanel, but will contact them.

Ok, found it. There are two different version numbers being reported on my cpanel, so I dug into the actual PHP config and was secretly running 5.3. Upgraded now and install went fine. Thank for the fast response!!!
