Hi,

I'm having problems uploading images. When I select a file to upload the link come up with c:\fakepath in front of it. When I click upload, nothing happens. I've tried with various files, various sizes and nothing works.

I got in touch with my host (HostPapa) to see if they could find a solution. They told me to change the permissions back to 755 for 'files' and 'gimgs' which I did and still nothing worked.

I've read forum threads of people who have had similar issues and wonder if anyone can suggest a solution for me. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Are you on a Windows server? You should be on a Linux/Apache setup - ask your host if they can make the switch (normally they will do this for free).

I double checked with my host and it's definitely Linux. Is there anything else I can try?

What version of Safari are you using - an old one?

Reporting fakepath is something older browser do (after doing some research) - it's a kind of security feature.

really i don't understand with google chrome there is the c:fakepath error and with firefox there is no error but no image appear

I have the same problem. But the picture is not written to the log of the DDBB image.
The image was uploaded to the server, but not included in the registry.

Anyone know what's going on?

But i'm still with the "fakepath" problem....
All solutions that i read at the forum don't work it. I have two indexhibit in the same hosting and don't work it, but the hosting people say me that my hosting is OK, doesn't have any problem with it.
