root folder

Hi, I have created an HTML email Newsletter in Dreamweaver.

I have uploaded the HTML file and supporting images on my public_html folder, which I assume is the 'ROOT folder'. However, in Dreamweaver I am trying to change the image links to absolute links, reading directly off of my public_html folder.

When I test it on my brower it all works great:

Back to Dreamweaver: In 'Manage Sites' when it asks for my root folder (so I can view live data drawn from my public_html folder) it gives me this error message:
Dreamweaver cannot use the prefix you entered to display live data. Please double-check your site configuration or click on Help for more information on how to correct this problem. (http Error: 404) (the HELP stuff is useless)

Can someone help me figure this out?
I thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide. I don't think this is a question for dreamweaver, but one of file structure.
Cheers,
Scott

PLEASE NOTE: per the rules of Indexhibit I am not selling stuff directly off my website. I am merely storing files there to be accessed when I send out my HTML email.

What does this have to do with Indexhibit?
