Template where?

the_Mo / 2013-02-06 20:35:19

Ok, this is probably a very stupid question...

But please help me ( for heavens sake )

where is the template for my page??

Can only see two boxes to write css/html in - one for pre-nav and one for post-nav text...

/ndxzsite/default/index.php
/ndxzsite/default/style.css

Thank you for the quick response!
but can´t make it work.

(Afraid computer language is not my language.. I just paid 25 euro for the update so would like things to go smooth..)

So I write this in the browser?
what do I write in front of these lines?

Thanks in advance!

Ok, now I see it.. I´m an idiot (partly)
now I´ve managed to download the style sheet etc. for my page.. Great, thank you!

Last question for now: ( with the risk of still being an IQ-0 )
do I write the css in the boxes for pre/post nav?

The Vaska's post above means that you can find the index.php (which has the html structure of your site) and style.css (which has the customizable css part of your site).
You need to use an ftp application to access these files and they're located in
/ndxzstudio/default/index.php
/ndxzstudio/default/style.css

Alternatively you can login to your backend and edit index.php/style.css from Admin (the top right link)/Assets (tab)/Theme -> index.php and style.css

edit: late :)

arsondpi:
Thank you for more explicit info! I´ll try this.
these basic things should be explained somewhere on the Indexhibit site - but guess it would spoil the "minimalism"..
lemathieu: ... whatever.. :)

Ok, so now I know what an FTP is. Wonderful..
And I´m even connected to my site! I´ve used Filezilla
All thanks to forum posts round here..!

but - when I enter ndxzstudio i cant find any default folder..
the only place I find a style.css is under assets

So.. Is it because I need to upload something or..?

Thanks for helping me here, got a lot to learn.. :)

Vaska A / 2013-02-07 20:17:07

What is your site - we can try to see what files are there, etc.

The default folder (for templates) is in the ndxzsite folder. All your customization stuff will be in that folder. Ndxzstudio is stuff should not be changing - the system.

Sorry, I jsut realized the paths I posted in my first post were wrong...been updated.

;)

the_Mo / 2013-02-07 21:06:00

Ok, thanks for new paths!
the site is carljohansennels.com

right now it seems theres only a file called jquery..

arsondpi / 2013-02-07 21:19:14

Oh - that's a Legacy site and not a version 2 site...
But didn't you upgrade? Or did you just reinstalled the Legacy version?

the_Mo / 2013-02-07 21:51:26

Oh I see,, thought I upgraded allready
I need to go through installation again then..
to be continued...!

Thanks again to both of you :)
